- Azhar Ali announces retirement from ODIs
Senior Pakistan batsman Azhar Ali announced his retirement from limited overs cricket in order to concentrate on Test cricket. He is 33 years old. He has played 53 ODIs (One Day International). He played his last ODI against New Zealand in January 2018.
- G.N.Bajpai stepped down from the board of IL & FS
G.N.Bajpai, the former chairman of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), has stepped down from the newly constituted board of Infrastructure Leasing & FinanciTal Services (IL&FS). He cited personal reasons.
- India ranked 77th World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index
According to the World Bank, India ranked 77th in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index 2018. The index ranks 190 countries based across the life-cycle of a business, from starting a business to resolving insolvency.
HDFC Bank announced that, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved re-appointment of Aditya Puri as managing director and CEO of the bank for another 2 years.
